BOAR HUNTING, wood, 18th century (?).

A hunting sculpture - dogs attacking a boar. The sculpture has an interesting form, it is a high relief, not a full-blown sculptural group. Such a procedure adds to the drama of the scene, as the boar seems to be engulfed by the "dog's flood".

18th century (?).

Signed, hard to read signature (G ...).

Wood, probably an apple tree.

Dim. 10 x 35 x 22 cm.
