A full-figure representation of a lady playing with a cat.

The young woman was shown in a long dress with a wide neckline. Leaning on the wall console, she gently nudges the cat resting at her feet with her foot.

The playful performance takes the viewer into the world of court pleasures of palatial Europe.

Henri Émile Allouard (1844-1929) - French sculptor and painter, student of Eugène Louis Lequesne. In the years 1865-1928 he regularly exhibited his works at the French Salons. Appreciated during his lifetime, he decorated the urban space of Paris, including the Pantheon, Opera Garnier and the City Hall. In 1900 he was awarded a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition in Paris.
