The canvas elongated along the horizontal axis shows a green plain marked by several hills. In the distance you can see a thin strip of sea water, above which there is an uninterrupted stretch of sky. The image is built up as a color spot, subordinated to a streaked structure, there is no clear suggestion of depth here. Landscape ceases to be a faithful reflection of a real view, and becomes a carrier of mood, an artistic creation.
